Can I Use Other Cheese in the Sauce?

-Olive Garden’s Alfredo Sauce recipe is made with Parmesan and Romano Cheeses, for a spin, try incorporating Mozzarella, Gruyere, Gouda, or Asiago. but JUST Parmesan works great!

Pro Tip: Stick with FRESHLY grated Parmesan cheese, rather than store-bought shredded or grated cheese for best results.

Substitutions:

You can substitute one cup milk in place of heavy cream to make creamy sauces, like this alfredo sauce.

It will be a lighter sauce that doesn’t have all the calories of the original.

You can also keep the Alfredo sauce extra creamy by mixing low-fat or non-fat versions of sour cream, plain yogurt, Greek yogurt, or cream cheese in place of heavy cream.

Once you try this copycat Alfredo Recipe, you’ll never buy a bottled alfredo sauce again!
