Heat the pan: In a non-stick frying pan, over medium-high heat, melt the butter.

Make the Egg: Tap the egg on the side of a bowl and gently pull the eggshell apart over the bowl. Pick out any shell pieces and then gently pour the egg into the pan and immediately reduce the heat to low. Cook slowly until the whites are completely set, and the yolk begins to thicken but isn’t firm (About 2 minutes). Quickly slide a flat turner under the egg and gently flip it over in the pan. Cook egg to desired doneness, about 30-seconds. Season with salt and pepper, if you like.
